QR codes have always been fascinating to me. They are very useful, whether you’re trying to log in to your Netflix account on your new smart TV or looking for an easy way to pay a street vendor on the go. However, they can also be a fun and interesting way to share data, messages, advertising, or even for more malicious activities.
QR codes are all around us, and you can find them anywhere. They are also easy to generate nowadays, with many online generators available, both with and without subscriptions. Yet, here is my take on them: it’s just a project I wanted to do and release to be a simple, easy-to-use QR code generator.

It’s nothing special, and it won’t win any “best invention” awards, but it was fun to work on in my limited free time. Hopefully, a few people will find it useful for now.
I used Nuxt for the front-end and Go as the back-end API and tried to make it as simple as possible. If you need more advance customization, and enjoy using it, then let me know and i can possibly add more options.
On a side note, I’d love to see QR stickers in public with text, art, messages, or even links to websites, music, or videos. It’s probably not entirely safe, but at least text is relatively secure, and most phones will display it without any risk involved. If you ever find anything interesting in that regard, please share!
As an idea, how about an open-source QR code scanning game? Maybe something like “Skannerz” meets geocaching? That’s something that needs a little more brainstorming, but for now, feel free to generate as many QR codes as your heart desires. And if possible, share your creations!
As always, any feedback is much appreciated.
